Use it well.
Don't break it.
H.みんなの terms of use. The short version: it's a small personal product, provided as-is, for two specific users and their household. Please be a good citizen.
01 What H.みんな is
H.みんな is a personal media-and-tasks tracker. It is a single-tenant web app (and companion Android app) built and operated by Jarai Howard for use by Jarai and Joely Howard. It is not a commercial product, not a public service, and not offered to the general public.
If you arrived here through a private link or an account you were given, your access is personal. Don't share your login.
02 Acceptable use
Use H.みんな for what it's built for: tracking what you watch, listen to, play, read, and do. Don't use it to:
- Stalk, harass, or harm anyone.
- Store content that's illegal where you live.
- Upload anything you don't have the rights to.
- Try to break the app, probe for security holes, or scrape it.
- Use it as a system of record for anything that could injure someone if it disappeared (medical, legal, financial). It's a tracker, not a vault.
03 Your account
You sign in with a magic link sent to your email. If you lose access to that email, you lose access to the account. We can verify identity manually for legitimate recovery requests; email jarai@howard.app.
You can export your data and delete your account at any time from the Settings panel inside the app.
04 The product is provided as-is
H.みんな is offered as-is, without warranty of any kind. It may have bugs. It may lose data. The Plex import may break if Plex changes its API. The Supabase tier may go down. The Fastmail WebDAV deploy may fail.
I will do my best to fix real problems quickly. I will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using or not being able to use the product. If this is a real concern, the right answer is to back up your own data, which you can do at any time.
05 Changes to the product
I ship changes when I ship them. There is no SLA. There is no roadmap. There is no commitment that a feature you rely on will exist in any particular form a year from now.
If I need to break a feature for the product's health, I'll do it. I'll try to give notice first on the in-app Activity panel, but I do not promise a migration period.
06 Open source, single-operator
The web app's source is not currently public. The Android app is on a private GitHub repo. If the product goes away, you keep your data (you can export before deletion). If you want to self-host, email me and we'll talk about it; nothing about the architecture precludes it, but I haven't packaged a self-host path yet.
07 Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in Tarrant County, Texas. If a real dispute ever comes out of a personal tracker, we both have bigger problems, but the clause is here for completeness.
